Big upcoming events for cryptocurrencies in 2019

There are a lot of reasons to get excited about cryptocurrencies in 2019. The first reason is the positive response from institutional investors. It is said that with the much-anticipated launch of Bakkt and the SEC possibly giving a Bitcoin ETF the ok, we could see an influx of institutional money into cryptos.

Speaking of the devil, Bakkt is another major reason to get excited. In a nutshell, Bakkt is a trading platform for open-source Bitcoin Futures. It is a product by the Intercontinental Exchange which is linked to the New York Stock Exchange. Thus far, Starbucks and Microsoft have jumped on board. It is said that Bakkt will be one of the leaders when it comes to the mass adoption of cryptos by institutional investors.

The release of Bakkt is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2019. Also, at the same time, the Fidelity Digital Asset Services will be launched. Fidelity Digital Assets which was launched in October 2018 gives institutional investors access to Bitcoin and Ethereum. It is said that the new Fidelity Digital Asset Services will include other top alt coins. Did you know that Fidelity has been mining cryptos since 2015?
